Unit of measure (MOQ): 1 Sheet – 50 MIL Thick x 6" Width x 6” Long
Description: This modified epoxy base material is primarily used for bonding Honeycomb to Honeycomb, but can also be used for bonding inserts and fasteners in place.
Because this material is manufactured with no metallic fibers it is a great choice where radar transparency is an issue. This material will typically expand 1.5 to 3.5 times its original thickness. Supplied in a 50 mil thickness it is common to double up to achieve the desired thickness. Can be used with Metallic or Non-Metallic Honeycomb
This material has dual cure capabilities from 250 to 350 Degree Fahrenheit.
Application: After removal of material from the freezer, allow material to reach ambient temperature prior to exposure to the shop environment. On a flat cutting surface using a template or drawing to determine required dimensions, cut material with the backing paper in place. A utility knife with a straight edge works well.
After you have verified the fit of the material and the bonding surface has been cleaned with solvent and a sterile cloth then dried remove one side of backing. Firmly press in place using the remaining backing paper to keep material clean while handling. Once the material is applied you can then remove the second piece of backing paper prior to the next process.
Cure time: Minimum of 60 minutes at 250 degree Heat up rate of 5 degree per minute.
Storage: Recommended 1 year
Handling Precautions: Always completely read the MSDS prior to use.
