Description: Fiberglass pre-preg style 120 is a high strength dual purpose material. Designed for basic construction or protective layer on other key components, the FP250120-YD1is designed not to stretch or shrink when exposed to moisture. This material is the same product as the dry fiberglass 120 without the need to mix the resin. This material has a 250 degree cure temp with a service temperature of just under 300 degrees.
Application: To start the application process, you must first allow the material to reach room temperature prior to removal from the seal freezer bag. Be sure the parts to be bonded have been thoroughly cleaned and dried. Cut your fiberglass to the dimensions needed. Remove one side of the poly backing and apply to the material to be bonded. Start form the center and work out making sure to remove any air bubbles in the material. Remove protective liner from the remaining side, complete assembly being careful not to trap any air in between. Vacuum bag as required. The ideal cure temperature is 250 degrees F with a cure time of 90 minutes. The heat up rate is 2-8 degrees F per minute. This material can be cured in a press, vacuum bag in an oven, or an autoclave.
