Description: Nylon Peel Ply is primarily used two different ways. The first is in the vacuum bag process, Appling it directly over the last composite ply, to be removed after cure and prior to paint. This method produces a ready for paint or secondary bonding surface. The second is use the peel ply as a bleeder/breather ply locating it over the perforated parting film during the final bagging process, this allows the air in the layup to be evacuated from the part to the bleeder and into the edge breather and finally out of the vacuum hose. Typically peel ply is only used and a bleeder when you are curing 10 plies or less of pre-preg material. And it is not recommended as a bleeder when doing wet layups. In that case you would be much better off using a dry fiberglass such as a style 120 or 7781. (See DFGF120-YD1 or DFGF7781-YD1)

Application: To start the application process, cut the material to the desired size and dimensions. Apply to the side that does not to be bonded or contaminated. Make sure the Nylon Peel Ply is laying flat with not wrinkles, once satisfied proceed with the layup process. After the cooking of composites is complete simply remove the peel ply for a clean contaminated free surface. Or in the case where used as a bleeder ply, discard with other bagging materials.
