Description: Flash tape is the most common tape used among the composites industry. This blue-colored tape is a general-purpose high temperature, high tensile strength polyester film that is coated with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. Flash tape is most commonly used in the bagging process, along with masking off areas and protection against chemicals. 

Application: Flash tape is to be used in any occasion when masking is necessary, especially where residue cannot be tolerated. Generally, this tape is used for holding release films and fabrics. Other uses will include holding down vacuum bagging materials and TC wires. This material may also be used for holding materials together in the oven or in a chemical milling procedure.
