Unit of measure (MOQ): 1 Roll – 19” width, x 1 Yard Long
Description: Dry fiberglass style 7781 is an 8-harness weaved fabric. This material was designed for high strength and to be fire resistant. Dry fiberglass is engineered to prevent stretching and shrinking when exposed to high or low temperatures. Furthermore, it does not change in any sense, when moisture (water) is absorbed into the fabric. This material is excellent when used to insulate electricity, making it ideal for circuit boards and other electronically sound equipment.
Application: To start the application process of dry fiberglass, you must first impregnate the fabric with the resin system of your choice. Epoxy resin systems are the most common. To do this, you must mix the resin and catalyst according to the instructions on your resin kit. Once this is mixed up properly, you will then pour the resin in the center of your dry fiberglass material, allowing short time for the resin to saturate the fabric. Sandwiched in between two pieces of parting film, you must start in the center of the fabric and spread the resin outwards towards the edges making sure that all air bubbles have evacuated the material. Taking time to ensure the resin is evenly spread throughout the fabric is a must. You will notice a change in color of the fabric once the resin is fully saturated. Cure material accordingly to specifications of project and resin system instructions.
